I got obsessed with taking these pictures for some reason lol but here's some hi-res looks of my biz-cards.  I went with Vistaprints and I'm pretty happy with them I'm just sad the website I posted on them will be pretty out of date soon:/

INSPIRATION BLOG UP!

I'm trying to get all my social networks up and popping, lol so I finally revamped my tumblr to match my brand check it out here!

So I stumbled across this photographer Hank Willis Thomas and let me say, he's an inspiration I've really been getting into the blend of afro-centric art and western culture.  His photograph opened my mind to a new way to extend my black and white drawings her's my enhancement of my piece "Satisfaction".

OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW

Since I'm re-branding once again, I'm adjusting my blog to match my BRAND (business cards, mailers, website, etc.) In commemoration of this special event I'm posting a dedication to the original "Darian's World" logo for the blog. This is actually the original sketch from my history notes lol. Enjoy!

TRUCKING ON!

So with my new logo and whatnot the brand is going through yet again another change and I believe for the better. I'm tapping into my inner freshness, a little Kehinde Wiley in the mesh-up technique, but I'm definitely going for a more three dimensional look, I'm getting more and more fascinated with the baroque design with a blend of Layendecker in the exaggeration of the figure. I'll be posting my painting in this style soon! I also plan on gettting back to my weekly illustration! whether It's a character or a scene:)

SO I'M KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE ON THIS ONE, OR MAYBE MORE... ANYWAYS THIS IS AN IDEA FOR MY PROMOTIONAL ILLUSTRATIONS FOR THE LOOK BOOK, I COULDN'T REALLY DECIDE ON A DEFINITE COLORWAY JUST YET, MOST LIKELY THE WHITE BACKGROUND BUT THESE ARE MY IDEAS THUS FAR I'M PRETTY EXCITED THO:)
